2023-2024 Track and Field

Boys and Girls Track And Field

Attention boys and girls interested in trying out for the James Monroe track and field team:

You and a parent/guardian must attend one of the three Google Meets starting at 6:00 pm on the following dates: 2/8, 2/15 and 2/22. It is mandatory for each student to have the completed forms prior to tryout dates. Students missing any part of the NMAA sports physical packet will not be eligible to participate in tryouts. In addition, the Athletic Participation Consent form and the Concussion for Student Course certificate are required for tryouts. If you tried out for the volleyball team or one of the basketball teams this school year, your paperwork is already on file with the coaches.

  • Important: the Google Meets Code is: JMMSTRACK

  • Using the student's Chromebook to join Google Meet is the best way to join

All participants trying out for track and field must have a physical exam and submit a completed physical form (part of the NMAA sports physical packet) filled out, signed and dated by a physician, to Coach Chavez on or before February 28th (the sooner the better) in order to tryout.
