The conservation club will be working to help our school conserve all of our valuable earth resources.  We will be working with a district initiative that has the same goal.  We will complete many different projects throughout the year including, recycling, educating our peers about how to help in the conservation process, caring for the school garden, and working with the district to further our knowledge of how to care for all of our resources.

In Breakfast Club students are allotted time to fully immerse themselves in topics of interest through discussions, research or just relax as we watch movies and play games. Most importantly, Breakfast Club offers a safe space for students to gather, enjoy their breakfast, and engage in activities of interest and fun before school.

This club will focus on having an enjoyable, engaging time without having an electronic device in your hands. Students will enjoy some friendly competition while learning to play some of the old favorites and newer board games. The atmosphere will be relaxed and stress free. This will be a time to meet new people and engage both with groups and individuals in a safe atmosphere that can lead to new friendships.

Creative Writing

If you love writing creatively either poetry or short stories this club is a space where we can foster that passion. Students in this club will work on their own writing and be able to share in the creative writing process with like-minded individuals. We will take part in NANOWRIMO or National Novel Writer's Month in November and we will look into publishing writing as well.

The JMMS Esports team will practice and compete with Rocket League, Clash of Clans, Clash Royale, and Super Smash Brothers. This club will utilize smartphone games, limited amount of gaming consoles, and cross-platform games like Rocket League. Players will meet once a week on Wednesday from 3:15-4:45 to practice the games, host scrimmages, and compete in competitive online matches. The Esports team is also in charge of hosting a school-wide tournament for the school for players to battle one another. Students must have access to the games and consoles or PC’s in order to participate in the competitive gaming team outside of school.

Depending on weather, students will participate in either golf (warm weather months of September - early November and again March - May) or basketball (cooler weather months of November - February)

The Basketball Club will work on the fundamentals of the game and it will help you to become a better basketball player.  Learn how to pass, shoot, dribble and of course play defense.  We’ll compete and have lots of fun!

The Golf Club will focus on the fundamentals of Golf.  We will practice putting, chipping and driving the golf ball.  We will learn about the etiquette and proper management of the golf course.  Students will have the opportunity to play live holes and compete against one another.  There will be games during practice and each member will receive a golf gift to use on the course. The Golf Club will be on Wednesdays at 3:30 to 5:30 and will be at Paradise Hills Golf Course.  The fee will be 5.00$ each time as this will pay for practice times, practice facilities and greens fees.  Come join the Golf Club!

Art Expression is all about observing, practicing and developing skills related to fine arts.  Students will improve their understanding of the elements of art and principles of design through the use of various media.  We will experiment with and create works of art via drawing, painting, muralism, and sculpture.
